Welcome to DAWless.uk, where we bring news, reviews, tips and sounds to help you on your DAWless musical journey.

What is DAWless?
In essence, it is making music without a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW). If you have ever created music at home or in your studio with a DAW, such as Logic, Cubase or Ableton you will know that they are truly marvelous and expansive software tools for making music, filled with features for making beats and music, shaping sound and can be stuffed full of plugins to expand your sonic universe. I love DAW’s!
The only issue with DAW’s is perhaps that they offer too much choice and too many features! Sometimes you don’t want to turn on a laptop or fire up a PC and load up a DAW to start making music. This can be especially true for those that work at a computer all day and just like making sounds for there own enjoyment, away from the screen.
So the DAWless movement is all about connecting up gear; synths, drum machines, grooveboxes and FX and focusing on the pure enjoyment of creating new music, in the moment, or sometimes recording it into a standalone recorder, or even recording into a DAW!
You can also make a hybrid setup with DAWless gear connected together and perhaps combine with a favorite VST as a soft synth, or maybe use the DAW to add a touch of reverb and delay to your mix, this Almost DAWlesss setup as I call it is one of my favorite ways of building up my sounds to something bigger.
Here at DAWless.uk you can find a little bit of everything about electronic music making in a DAWless and sometimes Almost DAWless world. Enjoy!
